Questions business owners ask
My registrar already auto-renews. Why do I need this?
Auto-renew fails more often than you’d think: an expired card, a billing email nobody reads, an ex-employee’s account, or domains scattered across several registrars. MyDomains reads the real expiry date from the registry and alerts you before it arrives, whatever your registrar does.
Which registrars do you work with?
You can add any domain by hand or by CSV. For automatic import and sync we connect to 16 registrars and DNS providers, including Atom.com, Cloudflare, DNSimple, Dynadot, Gandi.net and more.
Can my whole team get alerts?
Yes. On the Company and Agency plans you can invite teammates as sub-accounts with full or read-only access. Each person picks their own channels (email, text, phone call, or browser notifications) and how many days ahead to be reminded.
Why do I have to verify a domain?
Verification proves you control the domain, so nobody can monitor names they don’t own. You add one TXT record to DNS; for connected registrars we can create it for you. Unverified domains are removed 24 hours after they’re added.
Is there really a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan monitors one domain with renewal reminders, no card required. Upgrade when you need more domains, bulk import, folders, or team access.
Can I connect MyDomains to our own tools?
Paid plans with API access get a REST API to list, add, and update domains, so expiry data can flow into your own dashboards, ticketing, or monitoring.
